What this site is for
It exists to separate what is established about skin ageing from what is sold as longevity, and to put the supported interventions where the evidence puts them rather than where the marketing does. That is why sun protection comes first on this site, why every claim is placed in one of four groups, and why the limits of the evidence are stated alongside the findings.
What it deliberately does not do
It does not recommend for or against any product or treatment, and it does not invite a reader toward an assessment or a consultation. It is not a booking page and it offers no service in relation to anything it describes. It does not name brands of products or devices, does not quote prices, and does not dismiss the whole category on the grounds that its marketing is unreliable.
The facts kept visible
Three facts are repeated wherever they are relevant. Sun protection is the best-supported intervention in the field and the least marketed. Nothing is approved as a treatment for ageing itself, and approvals belong to products and to defined endpoints. And a mechanism is a reason to study something rather than a result, which is why laboratory findings and population studies are kept apart on every page.
How the content is reviewed and corrected
Ke He, MD, Deputy Director and Head of Skin & Laser Aesthetics, is the responsible physician. This subject moves slowly in its evidence and quickly in its vocabulary, so the review is dated and revisited on a short cycle rather than treated as a settled text. If you find something unclear, out of date or wrong, the contact page explains how to tell us, and the correction is made to the page itself.
